Terms of use

Last updated: July 2026

These terms govern your use of MotorLens. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. This is editable placeholder content — replace before launch with wording reviewed by your solicitor.

The service

MotorLens produces AI-generated buying reports for used cars listed in the UK, based on the advert content you provide.

Reports are guidance only. They are not mechanical inspections, HPI/finance checks, insurance quotes, or professional valuations.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that any advert text, URL, or screenshot you submit is one you are permitted to share for the purpose of receiving a report.

You will not use MotorLens to build competing datasets, resell reports, or attempt to reverse-engineer the service.

You will not upload unlawful, harmful, or misleading content.

You are responsible for verifying every claim in your report before spending money on a vehicle.

Accounts

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

AI-generated content

Reports are generated using AI models. They may be incorrect, incomplete, or out of date. Prices, MPG figures, insurance groups and reliability ratings are estimates only.

MotorLens does not guarantee any particular outcome from a purchase decision.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MotorLens is provided “as is” and MotorLens, its team and its suppliers exclude all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a purchase decision you made based on a report.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Termination & changes

We may update the service or these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

This page is maintained by the MotorLens team as editable placeholder content. It is not legal advice — have your solicitor review before launch.
